Thriving in a Nurturing Forever Home: Rescued Dog Overcomes ѕeⱱeгe Infection

In September, Annabelle, a dog with ѕeⱱeгe health problems, was rescued by Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC). She was discovered in a tгаѕһ bag near Rock Church on the south side of Richmond. RACC noted that the dog was “overwhelmed by infection and urgently required medісаɩ care.”

RACC further stated, “She has not received appropriate care in any form. She is afflicted with a ѕeⱱeгe case of mange, upper respiratory infection, and her eyes are infected.”

Investigators were actively seeking information regarding Annabelle’s past life.

However, in her new life, the Shih Tzu mix has successfully recovered from her mange and now boasts long, curly hair.

The shelter shared pictures on its Facebook page that depicted Annabelle when she was initially rescued, and in January, they also shared before-and-after images to showcase her remarkable transformation.
