After moving to a mansion on the outskirts of Illinois, Nicole and Christian McDonald from the USA realized that with one child in such a huge house they would be very bored… Then the couple ѕeгіoᴜѕɩу thought about having a second child.
In early 2015, Nicole found oᴜt she was pregnant and was very happy about it for the first few months, until an ultrasound scan told her that she was expecting conjoined twins.

Specialists at the clinic where Nicole was observed cited very ѕаd statistics. The fact is that babies had to be born with their heads joined together, and there were only a few successful cases of separation of such Siamese twins.
Nicole and Christian thought for a long time about what to do in their case, but decided to give the boys a chance!

By that time, the young parents had already found a clinic in New York that agreed to help them. For some time they had to move to this city.
Preparations for the future division lasted a very long time. Only by October 2016 was everything ready.
A team of the best specialists of 40 people took care of the 13-month-old ( at that time ) twins. The separation procedure lasted a full 27 hours, costing the parents two and a half million dollars.
To everyone’s delight, everything went well.

The very next day the brothers were able to see each other for the first time. And from that moment a completely new life began for each of them. The boys had to see doctors more than once and learn a lot.
Almost 7 years have passed since the separation.

Today Jaydan and Anias are almost 8 years old. After the separation, the boys were noticeably behind their peers in development, but over time this gap narrowed. Now only Anias still has a number of difficulties ( he speaks рooгɩу and hardly walks ), but Nicole and Christian hope to solve these problems in the coming years with the help of doctors.
